PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Two Atlantic 10 Conference teams, Dayton and Xavier, will compete in the field of 64 in the 2007 NCAA Volleyball Championship. Dayton was selected to host First and Second Round matches for the first time in school history as well as being awarded the #15 seed in the tourney, while Xavier earned its first-ever at-large bid and will play in its second NCAA Championship. Both First Round matches will be held on Friday, Nov. 30.

The Flyers will take on Lipscomb (20-1), which is making its first-ever NCAA appearance, at 7 pm Friday night in Dayton. UD captured the A-10 Championship title to earn its fourth title overall and enters the NCAA Tournament with a 32-1 mark and an 11-match win streak.

Xavier will face 16th-seeded Cal Poly (21-7) in the First Round at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, at 5:30 pm on Nov. 30. The Musketeers are 24-10 on the season and were the A-10 regular season runner-up as well as the runner-up in the A-10 Championship, both to nationally-ranked Dayton.

The last time the Atlantic 10 Conference had two teams in the NCAA Championship was in 1985 when Penn State earned the league's automatic berth and Rhode Island was picked as an at-large team. Both lost in the First Round of competition.
