Eleven A-10 Softball Players Cited for NFCA Regional Honors

    Philadelphia - Eleven Atlantic 10 Conference softball players representing four different schools were named to the 2007 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division I All-Region Teams. Temple senior first baseman Adrienne Repsher, Fordham senior catcher Allison Storc and senior third baseman Elana Meyers from George Washington earned first-team honors in the Mid-Atlantic region, while sophomore pitcher Brandice Balschmiter, junior second baseman Stacy Cullington and senior outfielder Candice Molinari of Massachusetts were named to the Northeast region's first-team.

    The second-team All-Region honorees consisted of Fordham junior third baseman Allison Twarowski, sophomore outfielder Melissa Andrews and freshman pitcher Nicole Ayres and Massachusetts senior first baseman Amanda Morin and junior outfielder Lauren Proctor.

    The six players tabbed first-team All-Region were also named first-team All-Conference by the Atlantic 10, including Repsher, the A-10 Player of the Year and Balschmiter, the A-10 Pitcher of the Year and Most Outstanding Player of the 2007 A-10 Softball Championship. All six are now eligible for selection to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-America first, second or third teams.
