Sophomore goalie Lauren Brown (Frenchtown, N.J.) registered her school-record eighth shutout of the year on Oct. 26 as Charlotte edged Massachusetts, 1-0. The 49ers' 1-0 loss to Rhode Island on Oct. 28 snapped their 12-game unbeaten streak.

Dayton sophomore Mandi Bäck (North Olmsted, Ohio) scored a pair of goals on Oct. 28 as the Flyers rallied to edge La Salle, 2-1. Bäck leads the A-10 in goals (14) and game-winning tallies (five).

Freshman keeper Gabby Morrin (Perrysburg, Ohio) recorded her fifth shutout of the season as Duquesne earned a 1-0 win at St. Bonaventure on Oct. 27. The Dukes' 10 wins equal their highest single-season total in program history, while Morrin has not allowed a goal in her last 387 minutes of action.

Junior midfielder Alexis Ribadeneyra (North Babylon, N.Y.) scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in Fordham's 3-1 victory over Xavier on Oct. 26. The Rams visit Duquesne on Nov. 2 and St. Bonaventure on Nov. 4.

George Washington evened its record at 8-8-0 on the year after posting home wins over Temple (1-0) and Saint Joseph's (3-1). Junior forward Meg Pyle (Franklin Park, N.J.) tallied the game-winner versus the Owls and added a goal against SJU to move into a share of the team-lead with eight points.

La Salle turned aside Xavier on Oct. 28, 3-1, to improve to 7-3-0 at home this year. The last time the Explorers won seven home matches in a season was 2001. Sophomore midfielder Heatherrae Steadman (Lanoka Harbor, N.J.) leads the team with eight assists, the sixth-highest single-season total in program annals.

Massachusetts sophomore goalie Lauren Luckey (Hendersonville, Tenn.) recorded a career-best 11 saves in the Minutewomen's 2-0 setback at Saint Louis on Oct. 28. UMass returns home to face Richmond on Nov. 2 and George Washington on Nov. 4.

Rhode Island snapped a two-match losing streak with a 1-0 win at Charlotte on Oct. 28 on a goal by junior midfielder Dora Larusdottir (Reykjavik, Iceland), her ninth of the season. URI closes out the regular season with home contests versus George Washington (Nov. 2) and Richmond (Nov. 4).
 

 

Carrie Holland (Pittsfield, Mass.) scored a pair of goals and added an assist in Richmond's 4-0 win over Saint Joseph's on Oct. 26. The Spiders have won three of their last four contests and visit Massachusetts (Nov. 2) and Rhode Island (Nov. 4) to close out the regular season.

St. Bonaventure dropped a 1-0 decision to Duquesne on Oct. 27 despite seven saves from freshman keeper Amanda Prestigiacomo (Rochester, N.Y.). The Bonnies host La Salle (Nov. 2) and Fordham (Nov. 4) in their final two matches of the season.

Saint Joseph's fell to George Washington on Oct. 28, 3-1, in its final road contest of the year. The Hawks return home to face Temple on Nov. 3.

Sophomore forward Julia Bradenberg (St. Louis, Mo.) scored two goals and added an assist as Saint Louis earned home wins over Rhode Island (2-1, 2OT) on Oct. 26 and Massachusetts (2-0) on Oct. 28. Junior defender Molly Hartmann's (Jackson, Mo.) game-winning goal versus URI was her first career tally as the Billikens (10-4-2) reached double-digit victories for the 10th time in the program's 12-year history.

Temple suffered a 2-1 loss at Richmond on Oct. 28 despite junior defender Cori Gallagher's (East Stroudsburg, Pa.) third goal of the season. The Owls conclude their season on Nov. 3 at Saint Joseph's.

Xavier ended its season with a pair of 3-1 losses at Fordham (Oct. 26) and La Salle (Oct. 28). Junior forward Melissa Zimmerman (Fort Wayne, Ind.) led the Musketeers in goals (seven) and points (16).
