Women's Rowing Academic All-Conference Team

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - For the second year in a row, senior Abby Lively of Massachusetts has been named the Atlantic 10 Student-Athlete of the Year in women's rowing. Voting was conducted among the Conference's sports information directors. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average and be an important part of the team.

Lively was a member of the Lightweight 4 crew that finished second at the 2007 Atlantic 10 Championship on Apr. 21, helping the Minutewomen to an unprecedented 12th straight A-10 team title. Her Lightweight 4 also finished second in the Yankee Cup this spring and in the fall placed third at the Head of the Textile and Head of the Fish regattas. In the classroom, Lively maintains a 3.94 grade point average as a kinesiology major.

Lively is joined on the Academic All-Conference rowing team by teammate Hannah Brewster; Saint Joseph's Debbie Bateman; Dana Bergquist, Arianna Mouradjian, and Katharine Podgor of Rhode Island; Dayton's Jeanna Heink; Stacia Kroetz and Jennifer Roussil of Fordham; and George Washington's Mansi Shah. Brewster, Lively, Roussil, and Shah were all members of last year's Academic All-Conference team.
