PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Massachusetts and Rhode Island tied in voting conducted by the Conference's nine head coaches for the predicted champion of the 2008 Atlantic 10 Rowing Championship.
The Minutewomen will look to capture their league-record thirteenth consecutive title this spring. Their current streak of twelve straight Championships is the longest such streak of any sport in A-10 history.
Rhode Island, which finished second to Massachusetts by just a single point last season, is led by reigning Atlantic 10 Rowing Coach of the Year Shelagh Donohoe.
The 2008 Atlantic 10 Rowing Championship will be held April 19 at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken, N.J.
