ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - St. Bonaventure's women's lacrosse head coach Tony Zostant announced his resignation Tuesday afternoon to take the head coaching job at Binghamton University.

Zostant spent the last six seasons at the helm of the rising Bona lacrosse program. He led the Bonnies to a record of 61-37 over that span, including four seasons of 10 or more wins.

St. Bonaventure earned the third seed in the last two Atlantic 10 Tournaments and made three appearances in the league's postseason tournament under Zostant's watch. In 2006, Zostant led the Bonnies to a 12-0 start, resulting in the program's first-ever national ranking.

A national search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
