PHILADELPHIA, PA - 2007 Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Year Adam Mills of Charlotte has been named a first-team All-America selection by Baseball America.
One of three finalists for the Roger Clemens Award, Mills led the Conference in wins (14), strikeouts (141), innings pitched (142.2), complete games (eight) and shutouts (four). A semifinalist for the Dick Howser Trophy, presented by the NCBWA to the country's most outstanding player, the Big Pool, MD, native ranks first in program history in victories (32), starts (51) and shutouts (five).
Mills helped lead the 49ers to their first-ever A-10 Championship and a school-record 49 victories, and was named a first-team All-American by Collegiate Baseball and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. He was selected in the eighth round of the 2007 MLB Draft by the Boston Red Sox.
