PHILADELPHIA, PA - Richmond junior Jessica Witt earned All-America honors after finishing 16th in the 400-yard individual medley at the NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships.
Witt posted a time of 4:16.67 after recording a school-record time of 4:14.89 in the preliminaries. Witt earned honorable mention All-America distinction last year. Teammate Lauren Beaudreau finished 24th overall in the 200-yard breaststroke in a school-record time of 2:14.87.
Senior Karo Isajan of La Salle, a four-time Most Outstanding Diver honoree at the Atlantic 10 Championships, won the three-meter diving competition and finished fourth in the one-meter event at the NCAA Zone "A" qualifier at Rutgers. The Aurora, CO, native automatically qualified to compete in both events at the NCAA Championships to be held March 15-17 in Minneapolis, MN.
Isajan, this year's A-10 champion in the three-meter competition, is the first La Salle diver to qualify for the NCAA's since John Madden in 1987.
