PHILADELPHIA, PA - Shareese Woods of Charlotte finished sixth in the 200m dash with a school-record time of 22.74 while La Salle senior Sean Quigley placed fourth in the 10,000m at the 2007 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships (June 6-9) at Sacramento State University.
Woods earned All-America honors at the Outdoor Championships for the second consecutive year as she placed fourth in the 200m a year ago.
"We're very proud of Shareese," said Niners head coach Bob Olesen.
"This was as tough a field as she's ever faced and she still turned in her fastest times. We're looking forward to the final meet of her collegiate career."
An All-American in cross country and indoor track this season, Quigley garnered All-America distinction outdoors for the first time after posting a time of 28:59.29. The Braintree, MA, native placed 13th in the 10K at the NCAA Championships a year ago.
"The first couple of years Sean ran with the best but last night he raced with the best and it shows," said La Salle head coach Charles Torpey.
"The third time around the maturity level is so different - now his mentality is, `I can run with any of these guys'."
Quigley, who has exhausted eligibility in cross country, has one more season of indoor and outdoor left to compete.
